On May 10 at 14:00 UTC, Yumi and Dfinity Messiah held a “Dfinity Messiah Says Hi” AMA, where we had a chance to learn more about Dfinity Messiah's team and the project's background.
Q1: It’s great to have GEarllemon, ic_RGstudio, ic_DfinityMessiah from Dfinity Messiah here with us. Could you give us a brief introduction to the Dfinity Messiah project and your team?
A1: We are a visual design studio based in Europe and our team consists of four people.
Ahlo is the spokesperson of our team. Marco is in charge of operations and research. UXRE is a designer and developer. KAOS is in charge of design and platform maintenance.
We are currently working on a series of card game characters, a mystery box. Dfinity Messiah is a collection of 10,000 3D NFTs.
Q2: Sounds great. What is Dfinity Messiah’s view on the current state of the NFT market?
A2: NFTs have a lot of value to begin with. That said, we think that in this field it's essential to stay innovative in terms of visual art. We have spent a lot of time conceptualizing the project's background and storyline as well as and designing the visuals. Today's NFT market is in need of wider diversity in order to attract more users and build larger communities.
Q3: How does Dfinity Messiah compare to other NFT projects in terms of innovation?
A3: Our NFTs will directly interact with the card game. The launch of Dfinity Messiah, our version of the ancient god, will take form of a blind box sale. That means, users will receive two kinds of NFTs, a box and the character stored inside the box. From the storyline/background perspective, we want to promote peace and the anti-war movement.
Q4: I’ve heard that possessing a Dfinity Messiah NFT gives one access to an NFT card game. Does the NFT serve as a ticket to the game? Are there other benefits?
A4: No, anyone can play the game, but not everyone can be a Dfinity Messiah in the game. Dfinity Messiah holders will also automatically get whitelisted for rg studui.
Q5: On Dfinity Messiah’s social media, one often sees slogans such as “Against War” and “Peace & Love”. Can you tell us more about it?
A5: In the very beginning, we were more interested in dragons and other mystical creatures as we wanted to combine ancient gods with science fiction elements. However, the pandemic and the turmoil that it caused made us also want to include an emphasis on love and peace on the blockchain. Because our characters are gods, we believe that in a parallel world, gods can not only be powerful but also full of love, peace, and empowerment.
Q6: Dfinity Messiah has been under development for quite some time and so far has shared very promising content. Could you tell us more about the project's development?
A6: We have accumulated a certain amount of followers on Discord and Twitter, and we hope to grow our community further by hosting joint events, airdrops and collaboration campaigns once the project hits the shelves. We are always on the lookout for collaboration opportunities since the IC ecosystem is very tight-knit, and its projects can support and promote each other.
Q7: As the first anti-war NFT project in the IC ecosystem, why did you choose the IC blockchain, instead of e.g. Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain?
A7: We believe that Dfinity's technology is much more advanced in addition to being completely decentralized, and not on the AWS Cloud like Ethereum. Internet Computer blockchain does not charge gas fees making our work a lot more convenient. We are very optimistic about the future of Internet Computer and we love to try out new technologies. One of our goals is to support more projects that promote innovation.
Q8: Will there be an airdrop from Dfinity Messiah? Do you have an airdrop plan?
A8: Yes, we have done a lot of airdrops already, and we will continue to do more in the future. To participate in the airdrop, users need to meet our requirements and help us promote our community. In return, DfinityMessiah holders will be whitelisted for future airdrops and other events. The specific airdrop plan can be found on our Twitter.
Q9: What are your plans for the Dfinity Messiah launch?
A9: Our launch plan will be announced on Twitter in collaboration with Yumi. Following the airdrop, we will launch over six thousand NFTs at a price of 1 ICP on Yumi's primary market.
Q10: How does Dfinity Messiah's future look like?
A10: Right now, our main focus is on the mystery theme for the card game. As our first step, we plan to release the characters, that will appear in the card game, as NFTs. Afterwards, we will continue working with the Thanat0s team on the structure of the game's world. Every step will be announced on our Twitter and on our website.
